Mr. Nimbe Oviosu joined UNIC Insurance Plc, a foremost Insurance Company in 1971 and put in close to three decades of service during which he became Managing Director in 1997.

In May 2003, he started Trust & Guarantee Insurance Company Limited as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and the growth of the company was phenomenal within the short period of 3 years.

As a result of the consolidation of Insurance Companies in April 2007, the business of Trust & Guarantee Insurance Company Limited was integrated with that of Crusader Insurance Nigeria Plc and he was appointed to the board of Crusader General Insurance Company as Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer. Within the period of 12 months, he transformed the company in the areas of growth, financial success and complete market acceptability.

In the course of an exciting career, he attended various extensive technical courses and management training overseas, with Commercial Union-London, Munich RE, Swiss Re including the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) London. Mr. Nimbe Oviosu holds an Honours degree in Law from a UK University.

He was Co-Manager of the Nigerian Aviation Pool from 1986 – 1989.

He was two times past Chairman of the Marine Offices Committee of the Nigerian Insurers Association and was a member of the Governing Council for about 9 years. He was elected Deputy Chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association until December 2010.

He is a well sought after marine expert and has led the Nigerian delegation to various conferences of the International Union of Marine Insurers. He is still a member of the IUMI Legal and Liability Committee.

He is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School and a prolific speaker who has presented papers on various topics within and outside Nigeria. He has served on the Board of several reputable companies.

He founded Bureau De Maritime Limited in 2010 with a vision to impart knowledge and improve Marine Technical results of primary insurance companies for ultimate profitability. Bureau De Maritime Limited (BDM) is also in the business to assist importers (all cargo interests) in the administration of claims against companies. Ship owners and P&I clubs as well as Port Terminal operators.
