Sir Amb, Dr. Bibowei James Braie hails from Patani in Patani Local Government Area of Delta State. He belongs to the Family that has the highest number of Knights in the World Six (6) knights from same father, one knight as a grandchild and tow ladies. He is a Senior Member, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. Associated Member, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (ACIB). Fellow, Nigerian Management Consultancy Forum (FNMCF). Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration (FCAI). Fellow, Institute of Independent Marketing Management of Nigeria (FIIMN).

He started his insurance career with Unic Insurance Plc 1981 – 1989, Climax Insurance Brokers 1989 – 1991, Highgate Insurance Brokers 1991 – 1992, Trust Union Insurance Brokers 1993 – 1995, Mercyfaith Insurance Brokers Limited 1996 – 2010. From 2011 till date Topflight Insurance Brokers Limited as Chief Operating Officer.

He was Assistant Secretary of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Defunct Bendel State chapter form 1988 – 1989, Secretary of CIIN, Edo State Chapter from 1990 – 1994. He also servered as Secretary, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) Edo / Delta State Chapter from 1991 till date.

Sir Amb. Dr. B. J. Braie has also served in the following organizations:

·         President, Izon Cultural Association of Nigeria 1997 – 2000

·         Chairman, Ijaw National Congress (INC) Edo State 2007 till Date

·         Producer/Presenter, Insurance Segment for over 23 years on Independent Television (ITV)

·         Coordinator, Insurance Stakeholders Forum, Edo State

·         Present – Boy’s Brigade Nigeria, Edo State Council 202 till date

He is a knight of St. Christopher, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) 2009. He loves travelling, listening to music. He is a keen follower of sports having actively played football during his secondary school years and participated in athletics. He is happily married with children.
